Hi!

I’m Leigh. Thanks for checking out my blog, and thanks for visiting the “About” page to learn a bit more about me.

First of all, I am Canadian. And, like every stereotypical Canadian, I am very polite– which explains why I thanked you twice before writing about myself. Despite my freezing locale, I love Hollywood (that green hoodie I’m wearing even says “Los Angeles” on it!) and all things pop culture. I even write about celebrities as a freelance writer for Yahoo! Canada, blogging daily on their “omg!” site about all the hottest stars. Check out my posts here.

I have also been published on TVGuide.ca and Dose.ca. Some of my stories for Dose.ca were  printed in Canadian newspapers, including the Vancouver Province, Vancouver Sun, Calgary Herald, Winnipeg Free Press, Kamloops Daily News, and The Star Phoenix.

I studied journalism at Ryerson University, and, in June 2011, I graduated the four-year program with a Bachelor of Journalism degree. I had an amazing experience attending the school and learned so much! While I love reporting on Tinseltown, the skills I developed in school definitely prepared me to cover hard news, which is a nice skill to have in your back pocket.
